Here is a new custom steel frame build with a beautiful metallic candy apple powdercoat. We used wide flaired drop bars for better control on rough terrain on St Thomas roads. The hubs are Shimano 105 in the rear and Son 28 Dynamo in the front to power full time head and tail lights. The hoops are very strong Alex rims laced with 36 black spokes each. To keep the price lower, we settled on a SRAM Apex groupset in 1×11 configuration. This uses a 44 tooth narrow/wide chain ring up front with an 11-36 cassette in the rear. The shifting is butter soft and precise. The ideal situation for a bike build like this is used as a daily fast commuter. It can handle wet roads, potholes, gravel and cobblestones with ease and have fun doing it.
