Components
This bicycle is fitted with a mint condition Dura-Ace 7800 groupset including headset bearings and Shimano bottom bracket. The 7800 is widely considered to be the best cable actuated groupset that Shimano has ever manufactured. Bikes equipped with the 7800 won the Tour de France four years in a row.
The Classic 1997 uses a 3ttt Pro Titanium stem, titanium seat post and a EMS composite carbon fork. The saddle is a Brooks C13 Cambium with carbon fiber rails and vulcanized rubber top. Wheels are 42mm alloy rims laced to Shimano 105 hubs with 32 black double butted spokes. Tires are Victoria Rubino Pro in 700c – 25mm. The cassette used is a 11-28 ten speed and the Dura-Ace crank uses a 53/39 chain set. The handlebars are Nitto Classic Drop B115FA 25.4mm Aluminum with Tektro interrupter brake levers, for a more comfortable upright riding position.
The bike is fitted with Tipson alloy flat pedals using titanium axles.
Every aspect of this build utilizes top Dura-Ace components including the chain, cables and ice grey cable housing.
The addition of the excellent Ti-Gr titanium lock system with frame holster completes this build.
